Admin Park Order
This module enables you to "park" a telephone order that cannot be completed for some reason, and then resumed when the customer phones back.

Admin Park Order can be obtained from:

To access the configuration of the module, select Stores->Configuration from within the admin panel...
Now scroll down to the 'On Tap Modules' option, and select 'Park Order'...
You will then see the module's configuration page...
These options are as follows:
|Enable cleaning of parked orders|
If this is set to 'Yes', then a scheduled task executes daily in order to minimise the number of old parked orders on the system. This is to stop the database getting too large. The criteria for 'old parked orders' is determined by the following setting. Any such parked orders are removed from the database automatically.
The scheduled task runs at 00:00:00 each day.
|Number of days to keep parked orders|
This is the number of days you wish to keep parked orders in Magento for. The default is '5'. However, you can change this to any number that suits your needs.
This setting is only considered if 'Enable cleaning of parked orders' is set to 'Yes'.
You can limit access to prevent users from accessing Park Order option. In System->Permissions->User Roles...
... when editing or creating a role, make sure 'Resource Access' is set to 'Custom'...
Then in the 'Sales', section, there is an option called 'Parked Order, Retrieve Parked Orders and Delete Parked Orders'...
... if this is un-selected (as in the example above), then any users who have this role defined will not be able to access Admin > Sales > Order > Park Order and Retrieve Park Order functionality. If you require assistance in setting up roles, please refer to the Magento documentation about this.
Using Admin Park Order
Most of the functionality can be found when creating an order in the admin panel. The process for doing that is documented in the Magento user guide - http://docs.magento.com/m2/ce/user_guide/customers/customer-account-create-order.html
This module improves and extends that process. The changes are as follows:
Sometimes when you are creating an order in the admin panel for a telephone caller, the order cannot be completed due to some issue. For example:
- The customer needs more time to decide
- They don't have the correct payment card available
- The call gets interrupted for some reason
Normally, this means a lost order, and if the customer does call back, you'll need to re-enter the order from scratch.
Now, with Admin Park Order, you can 'park' orders and then 'retrieve' them at a future date - allowing you to carry on at exactly the point you 'parked' it.
When creating an order, you'll see the 'Park Order' button in the top button bar...
If you click on that button, it will be parked and you will see a message 'You have parked the order'...
Orders are kept in the database according to the amount of time specified in Stores->Configuration->On Tap Modules->Park Order, where we have the default options of...
You can change these settings to retain orders for more or less time.
Retrieving a parked order
When you select Sales->Orders, you'll see a new button called 'Retrieve Parked Order' in the top button bar...
When you click on that button, you'll be shown a grid of all the current parked orders...
The grid can be filtered and sorted...
... to better help you find a parked order, if you have many.
Simply click on the 'Select' link to retrieve it.
You'll then be taken to the order screen, with the details retrieved...
You can now continue with the order to completion, or click the 'Park Order' button to update and park it again.
